Where do you fence? How long? Which weapon?

My fencing: I currently fence foil with my son at Dark Horse Fencing Club, here in Fredericksburg. How long is complicated: I had my first fencing lesson at the Dallas Fencing Club when I was 14 and came back to it competitively in college when I fenced with the University of North Texas Fencing Club (where I met my wife - also a fencer) until 1988.

This last summer, our son was in a week long fencing camp and had such a good time that he has continued with his lessons. His involvement has led me back to my favorite sport and I look forward to many years of sharing this complex and rewarding sport with him.

What do you think about Fencing Picture's efforts to promote the sport?

I applaud the efforts of Fencing Pictures to bring l'escrime to the general public and more importantly to bring fencing news to fencers as there is such a dearth of traditional news coverage.

It is exciting to see all the new and easy ways to learn about top level fencing and Fencing Channel helps to bring the best fencing in the world to the largest audience in the history of the sport.

What do you think of the FencingChannel.tv website?

The website is visually dynamic and presents an exciting viewpoint of fencing to the viewer. It is also easy to navigate and chock-full of interesting, exclusive interviews and video clips.

Did you read/view the World Championships on the website?

I obsessively followed Leipzig on the fencing channel website and subscribed to the video feeds on WCSN which I also thoroughly enjoyed.
